At FirstLabour.org it is our belief that the traditional means of filling positions and finding employment is obsolete. It is no longer necessary to scan newspapers, make cold calls, use the mail and wait for an employer or candidate to contact you. The wave of the future in filling open positions and obtaining employment is utilizing the Internet to connect the right (targeted) Recruiters with the right (pre-qualified) Job Seekers.
FirstLabour.org maintains a database containing thousands of Recruiters with open positions and thousands of Job Seekers’ resumes. The Job Seeker may post his or her resume for free and be contacted by one of the many Recruiters searching our database of resumes. The Recruiter has access to all of the resumes posted at our site. The Job Seeker may, for a small fee, have their resume sent directly to targeted Recruiters specializing in the Job Seekers’ industry with an open position to fill. The Recruiters may set industry/function/geographic filters allowing them to receive only pre-qualified resumes rather than having to pre-qualify the resumes themselves. Our database matches Recruiters and Job Seekers based on their job industry, function and geographical requirements, thus pairing only those Job Seekers and Recruiters who have mutual needs. The Recruiter sees pre-qualified resumes while the Job Seeker is exposed to targeted Recruiters with open positions to fill.
